Apple Cider Mimosas are sweet, tart and bubbly. The perfect drink for any celebration.
I have another fun cocktail for you. I know…another one, but I can’t help myself they are so fun to make and drink.
The first time I had an apple cider mimosa was Thanksgiving 2016 at a restaurant in Utah called La Caille. La Caille is a nice, upscale French restaurant on the east side of Salt Lake. I’ve only been there a handful of times and have enjoyed it each time. My husband and I decided to check out their Thanksgiving dinner and this mimosa was on the menu. Not only was the food delicious, but so was this drink. I knew I had to recreate it for you!
I love the combination of the apple cider with the bubbly of the champagne or Prosecco. I like to use Prosecco. The key to making this drink perfect is the cinnamon/sugar mix that goes on the rim of the glass. I don’t use a specific amount of cinnamon to sugar. I just make enough to cover as many glasses as needed. To get the cinnamon/sugar mix to stick to the glass, dip the rim of the glass into water(not a lot of water, just enough water to cover the rim of the glass) and then dip right into the mixture. Easy to do and makes the perfect addition to any drink.
- Apple Cider
- Prosecco or Champagne
- Fill a small bowl with just enough water to cover the rim of your champagne glass. Dip the rim of the champagne glass into the water and then dip into a bowl filled with cinnamon and sugar that has been mixed together.
- Fill the glass 2/3 full with apple cider and then fill the rest of the glass with prosecco.
