Caramel Peach Dumplings

Caramel Peach Dumplings – The perfect Summer dessert. Fresh peaches wrapped in dough and drizzled with sugar, cinnamon, butter and soda. Top it off with caramel sauce and whipped cream.

Caramel Peach Dumplings - confessions of a cooking diva

Oh my, these are good! Like you must head to the store and get the ingredients right now! I’ve made this dish with apples before, but never with peaches and now I may never go back to making these with apples.

Fresh peaches are so good right now and are perfect for these dumplings. The perfect summer night dessert. What is it about peaches and cinnamon? Such a perfect pairing, a little sweet mixed with a bit of spice. Perfection!

Tip: Use a paring knife to peel the skin off the peaches. You can also boil the peaches and then blanch them in cold water to help get the skin off, but mine were so soft that they just peeled off with a paring knife.

How to Make:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray.

Peel the peaches, slice each peach in half and take the pit out. Slice each half into 4 slices. Each peach should yield 8 slices.

Unroll the crescent rolls and place 1 slice of peach into each crescent roll and roll.

Place each roll, seam side down into the baking dish.

In a small saucepan, add the butter and melt. Add the sugar and mix well. Take off the heat and add the vanilla. Mix and pour over the rolls that are in the pan.

Pour the Mountain Dew and pour around the sides of the rolls. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the rolls and bake for 40 minutes.

Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Pour the caramel sauce over the dumplings and then serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Enjoy!
