Raise your hand if you like garlic? Come on, I know you do! In our house garlic gets put into almost everything. We love it and roasted garlic is so good and milder than non-roasted garlic.
Roasted garlic can be used in various types of recipes. Mashed potatoes, dressings, rub on bread for delicious garlic bread. Rub it into meats before cooking for a great garlic flavor. The possibilities are endless.
To Roast Garlic you will need –
1 or 2 Garlic bulbs
Step 1 – Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Step 2 – Slice off the very tip of your bulbs of garlic.
Step 3 – Place the bulbs of garlic on a piece of foil. Make sure your foil is long enough to fold over the garlic.
Step 4 – Pour enough olive oil into the garlic bulbs that it fills them up and allow it to overflow a bit onto the foil.
Step 5 – Sprinkle with salt.
Step 6 – Wrap the foil tightly around the garlic and place onto a baking sheet.
Step 7 – Allow to cook for 35 minutes. Your house will begin to smell fragrant and garlicky.
Step 8 – Remove from oven and allow cooling. Once they are cool enough to touch, gently squeeze each clove out. Add to desired recipe.
