February Beauty Favorites

It’s that time again to share my latest discoveries in the beauty world.
Let’s begin…
The NARSissist Cheek Kit– Beauty bloggers have been raving about NARS blush in Orgasm and NARS bronzer in Laguna. I was really excited to find this limited edition palette that has both of these plus a highlighter.  I’m new to the contouring world, but I’m getting better and I absolutely love this product for contouring.
Marc Jacobs Eye Shadow – Probably the most expensive eye shadow I’ve ever bought. More than the Naked 3 Palette. I got mine in Tease. I love purple eye shadows, goes great with brown eyes. The eye shadows feel like velvet, so soft and beautiful rich colors. The only downside to this shadow is there is a lot of fallout that occurs when placing the shadow on your eyes. Be sure to keep a baby wipe nearby so you can wipe the skin under your eyes. This shadow also has great staying power. Lasts all day.
Eyelash Curler – Eyelash curlers are not new to the makeup world and I’ve had this one for a couple of years, but only recently have I been using it. I have no idea why I never used it before because it’s awesome. I have fairly long eyelashes, but they tend to stick straight out versus curling up. Why I forced them to curl up with mascara and not use an eyelash curler is a mystery, but now I’m a convert.
L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara – I know, another mascara, but I rarely use the same mascara every day. I’m always switching them so I have a large collection. This is another drugstore mascara that I love. The products states that it extends the lashes starting at the roots and increases their volume. It does a pretty good job of this.
Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil – If you’re looking for an affordable and moisturizing cuticle oil, then, this is it. Very moisturizing, easy to apply and has a delicate scent that isn’t overwhelming.
Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color – Mascaras and lip glosses are my two obsessions. I purchase a lot of both, but they do get used a lot. A little lip gloss and mascara are perfect products to use on non-makeup days. This lip color is a beautiful gloss. I got mine in Blushed Essence and it’s the perfect light pink. Would go with anyone’s skin color. This lip color is not sticky and glides on smoothly and evenly. I may have to get more…
Dove Advanced Care Deodorant – I received this product for free for a review, but opinions are my own. I’ve been using the same deodorant for many, many years and I’ve always thought it was fine until now. I love this deodorant. I am so glad I had the opportunity to try this, because if I hadn’t I would never have tried it. This deodorant goes on smoothly, has a fabulous smell,  lasts all day and the best part, it doesn’t burn your skin when you put it on after you  have shaved your underarms. I love this deodorant and it can be found at any store.
That’s it for this month’s beauty favorites. Have you tried a new product that you love? If so, please leave me a comment and tell me about it.
Enjoy!

  1. I rarely use my eyelash curler- I have no idea why, since it helps my lashes look their best!

  2. I can not stand that L’Oreal Butterfly Mascara. It does nothing for my lashes, and certainly not what it claims. That’s why I love makeup, what works for you may not work for me 🙂

  3. I got a sample of the NARS blush in Orgasm…wearing it right now…I love it, too!
The one thing I’ve found that I have to have at all times is called Tend Skin and it comes in roll-on form (as well as in a squeeze bottle)…you put it on your skin after you shave and it helps prevent razor burn bumps, etc. I’ve gotta have it!
