Basic Bread White – Guest Post

Basic White Breaad

*I’m on vacation so I have my wonderful friend Brenna sharing her Homemade Bread.*

Hi everyone, I’m Brenna, from Life After Laundry. I share about all things crafty and frugal. I know those two things don’t usually go together, but I have to find a way to afford all those craft supplies.

About two years ago I started making all of our bread at home with the help of a bread machine. My husband is actually the one who decided we should try it, and we have loved it. We never buy store bought sandwich bread now. It was a decision that not only saves us money, but is better for us. We know exactly what we are putting into our bread, and I always have the ingredients on hand to whip up another loaf.

This white bread is so hearty and delicious. It’s great for your everyday sandwich and makes the best grilled cheese you have ever eaten.

 3 cups bread flour

1 ½ teaspoons salt

1 ½ tablespoon dried milk

1 ½ honey

1 ½ olive oil

1 teaspoon dry yeasts

1 ¼ cups of water

 Add ingredients based on manufacturer’s recommendations. {some tell you to add wet ingredients first or to add yeast at a certain time, so be sure to check if you are new to bread making}

Select the Basic Setting, this makes a 1 ½ lb loaf, so that is the medium size on my machine.

Enjoy your bread!

If this bread looks good, you should try my Oven Strawberry Jam for a special treat.
