Tasty Baked Beans

I love taking boxed or canned food items and enhancing them. That is what happened with these.

I’m all for making things from scratch, but sometimes taking an item that is boxed or canned is a great and quick way to add flavor to a dish. I make a fabulous banana bread that is from a cake mix. Super easy and delicious. I’ll be sharing that soon.
Back to the beans, I love Bush’s Baked Beans (no, this is not a sponsored post). They are great just by themselves, but this makes them spectacular.
Tips –
– Use any flavor of baked beans that you would like.
– This is great to put into a crock-pot and let cook on low for several hours.
– You can use any flavored barbecue sauce. I used KC Masterpiece in Original.
– Pre-cook your bacon and let it cool before tearing into pieces and adding to the beans.
– This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for large gatherings.
I hope you give these and try and let me know what you think.

Very easy recipe to follow and the taste was fantastic. I double the onion and green pepper quantities and threw in some scallions. Overall, the best stovetop BB recipe I have experienced.
